The Chef

Meet Patrizio Alaia, the chef and majority owner behind Mozza Bella. He was born and raised in Naples, Italy, the home of the world’s best pizza, and grew up cooking with his mother and grandmother. After falling in love with sharing the food of his homeland, Patrizio went on to work in Italian restaurants around the world, including in London, Rome and New York, before moving to Atlanta. 


In Atlanta, Patrizio worked at noted chef Riccardo Ullio’s URestaurants, best known for Fritti and Sotto Sotto. He became a rep for International Gourmet Foods, an importer of the world’s best ingredients. Having worked in both kitchens and dining rooms around the globe and built a wide network of friends in Atlanta’s culinary community, he jumped at the opportunity to launch Mozza Bella in 2022 at Chattahoochee Food Works. 


On any given day, you’ll find local chefs—his friends—parked at a bar stool, ordering their favorites from Patrizio’s time-honored recipes. He offers every guest a true Italian welcome and a taste of his homeland.
